El Futuro seeks to complement pastoral counseling services and help parishioners through a partnership with local churches and community congregations. Often the struggles, mental illnesses or addictions parishioners face goes beyond what is appropriate for pastoral counseling. El Futuro accepts many referrals and acts as a resource for churches and community congregations of all faiths. While El Futuro is not a faith-based organization, many of our staff are “faith-based.” Our work at El Futuro is a fruit of our faith and we share love daily with people who are marginalized, broken, and suffering. Our professional calling as counselors and psychiatrists has allowed us to serve in this unique way. ![]() What your Church or Congregation Can Provide for El Futuro Many churches and congregations have funds to support the vulnerable and undeserved in their community. Will your church consider using a portion of those funds to support treatment services for Latino children in your community? El Futuro has a number of grants and contract which offset the cost of providing services such as contracts, co-payments and billing insurance companies. Even after this assistance is calculated in, additional funds are needed to adequately provide mental health services for our clients. The average youth who comes to El Futuro for services will attend twelve sessions with one of our clinicians. El Futuro needs an additional $600 to provide adequate services for each youth receiving care. We hope your congregation will consider sponsoring one child’s treatment for $600. We are thankful for our current church partners: Chapel of the Cross Church of Reconciliation Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Hillsborough |
