Who makes referrals?
We take referrals from a number of sources across the state, including schools, social workers, and non-profits. Although the individual may be referred through another source, the client should call to set up the screening appointment.
How does someone make a screening appointment?
The individual should call us directly to speak with a staff member. For the Carrboro and Siler City clinics, please call 919-338-1939 x501. For the Durham clinic, please call 919-688-7101 x600. Each person who calls will be offered a screening appointment at the office location most convenient for them. Additional necessary information can be sent to us by fax.
Is there a cost for screening appointments?
Screening appointments cost $20. Payment can be made with cash or check.
What should someone expect during a screening appointment?
During that appointment, we will help them determine the service that will be most suitable for them and decide how much future services will cost. Screening appointments last approximately 45 minutes. How much does therapy cost? With Medicaid, HealthChoice, and other insurances, the client pays the co-pay amount determined by the insurance. If the client does not have insurance, we determine the cost based on a sliding fee scaled based on household income.
